For this particular assignment, we were tasked with taking pictures of objects we found important in different methods, categorized as 'still-life.' I tried to choose objects that I used or saw often, and were therefore pretty meaningful to me. The one exception to this is the flowers, which are simply visually appealing. I'm very pleased with my choice of backgrounds, as the majority of the pictures back up to a natural landscape which looks very nice in contrast to the very man made looking choice objects. My favorite is definitely the eye level shot of the mouse, it just turned out so perfect. However, the Side Shadow did not go as well; I could not find a place in the house to get as a crisp of a shadow as in the demonstration, so my glass front door was the unfortunate resolution. Moving forward, a might try and use a DSLR instead of my phone to get interesting depth of field, as the portrait mode filter as used in the Symmetrical image is not very reliable.
