For our first of two assignments in Bryce 3D, we were to make a scene that looked somewhat realistic and incorporate a 2D image. I made some mountains using the built in tools to reshape, resize, and move. i took my time selecting textures for each component, making sure the scene felt balanced, and selecting the image to incorporate. I'm really happy with the final result, and you can really see the scale of everything compared to the Pterodactyl in imported. I'm really happy with this project.
For the final assignment, we had to create a scene that was not realistic. I went all out and tried to make an island floating in the sky above a watery planet, and the result was... fine. I think you can see what I was going for, but the end result definitely isn't as convincing as I would have hoped. I used textures and skies that were meant more for fantasy this time. Overall, I feel the image needs more contrast (and I need more time in the program) in order for it to look as good as I wanted it to.
